1800s Victorian Breakfast / Petit Dejeuner Tea set for Two. A very pretty delicate set with transfer prints of delicate Roses and other flowers in shades of pink, and gilt border rims. This set in unmarked but is very similar to Early Shelley/ Wileman Dainty Shapes.
Many of their earlier pieces were unmarked. On the whole this is in very good - excellent condition.
I will point out that there does appear to be a tiny manufacturing flaw under the top rim of each cup. I can see a tiny chip, on each cup, out of the gold speckled border rim pattern, which appears to then be underneath the clear gloss glaze finish. Also the tray itself does not seem to be completely flat underneath, it has a slight wobble when placed onto a hard flat surface, not much, this is easily rectified by placing it on a slightly cushioned mat. There may be slight imperfections/ blemishes to the transfer print and white body of the china, these are not faults but are due to manufacturing processes at the time. 178mm from the tip of the spout to edge of the handle (7).. Just over 3/4 pint capacity. 57mm tall x 71mm diameter at the top rim (2 1/4 x 3). 110mm diameter at the top rim x 60mm tall (4 1/4 x 2 3/8). 295mm diameter (Just over 11 1/2).
